Longford business wins award from ‘dragon’ Theo Papthitis
Granard-based small business Wordhouse Writing Services in Co. Longford has won an award from ‘Dragon’s Den’ founder Theo Paphitis.
The award, known as ‘Small Business Sunday’, involves small businesses pitching to Theo Paphitis on Twitter between 5.30 pm and 7 pm every Sunday using the hashtag #SBS. At 8 pm the following evening, Theo announces his six winners.
Wordhouse Writing Services, headed by Gill Pavey, was announced as one of the six winners this week. The business, which provides proofreading, copy-editing and copywriting services to clients across the globe, has only been operating for two years. Business successes and experiences can be shared with other SBS winners and there are planned events for members.
After the win, Gill Pavey said: ‘This award will bring new opportunities to Wordhouse, not just a tremendous boost to business but the chance to mix with talented people from other businesses and learn from them.’
