Wordhouse Writing Services is based in Co Longford in the heart of rural Ireland. From here, the highly professional services can be delivered anywhere in the world. There is no need for face-to-face contact, saving you time and travelling. There is no strict 9–5 routine either – drop us an email any time including evenings and weekends.

The business is headed up by Gill Pavey who offers services in proofreading, copy-editing and copywriting. Gill started proofreading in the 1980s when she was employed by a water sports magazine group in London. Over the years she has become an accomplished copy-editor, specialising in material from non-native English speakers. Typical organisations that are regular clients are translation agencies, universities and research institutes from around the world. Texts may be business documents, academic papers and reports, and academic books/educational material on a wide range of subjects. She has also worked on documents for the European Parliament and European Commission agencies for a number of years.

Gill’s qualifications include MSc (Finance), a diploma in proofreading and a UK copywriting qualification, and she was a Chartered Management Accountant for many years. She is a member of the Association of Freelance Editors, Proofreaders and Indexers in Ireland.

She shares her life with two Dalmatians, Danny and Daizy who do their best as guard dogs, personal assistants and companions. They are doing a great job.
